There is hereby adopted by the Common Council for the purpose of providing minimum requirements for the protection of life, limb, health, property, safety and welfare of the general public and the owners and occupants of residential buildings, that certain code known as the Uniform Housing Code recommended by the International Conference of Building Officials, being particularly the most current edition thereof, and the whole thereof, of which code not less than three copies have been and now are filed in the office of the City Clerk-Treasurer for public inspection, and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as set out at length herein, and shall be controlling with the limits of the city.
