It shall be the duty of the Chief of Police, to enforce this §§ 72.10 through 72.14 and 72.25 through 72.30, to remit all monies received by him as fines to the City Clerk-Treasurer, with an accounting as to the persons paying said fines. A separate fund (or accounting) shall be maintained at all times of such money so deposited and the names of and the number of days of those remaining delinquent in the payment of said fines.
