§ 31.33 CITY COLLECTOR.
   (A)   Creation of office. There is hereby created the Office of City Collector, who shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to the advice and consent of the City Council.
   (B)   Duties. The City Collector shall have the powers and duties as prescribed by law, and shall serve as Administrative Assistant as described in the official job description on file with the Finance and Human Resource Director.
   (C)   Compensation. The City Collector, except as otherwise provided, shall receive the salary or other compensation that is fixed by ordinance. The salaries, fees, or other compensation of the City Collector may be increased but not diminished so as to take effect during the term for which the City Collector was appointed.
   (D)   Clerk as Collector. The City Clerk may hold the office of City Collector, if appointed by the Mayor, and subject to the advice and consent of the City Council.
