§ 151.06 OTHER REGULATIONS; CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY.
   (A)   Before starting any of the work regulated by this chapter, an applicant shall comply with the requirements set forth in other applicable city regulations with respect to the submission and approval of preliminary and final subdivision plats, improvement plans, building permits and zoning permits, inspections, appeals, sanitary sewer connection permits, and similar matters, along with those set forth in this chapter and as may be required by federal or state laws and the regulations of any department of the State of Illinois. Where provisions of this chapter are more restrictive than other requirements, this chapter shall apply.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful to use or occupy any buildings of any development site or any part thereof hereafter constructed in the Special Flood Hazard Area without first making application for and obtaining a certificate of occupancy from the city. Request for issuance of a certificate of occupancy shall be submitted to the Building Inspector upon completion of the work authorized in the floodplain development permit and building permit issued for the project in question. If, upon final inspection of a building or development site, the Building Inspector finds the work has been performed in accordance with the approved application and plans of the floodplain development permit and the building permit, a certificate of occupancy, may be issued. If final inspection reveals otherwise, a certificate of occupancy shall not be issued until all deficiencies are collected.
