§ 30.06 PROCEDURE FOR CLOSED SESSIONS.
   As permitted by law, the City Council may hold a meeting closed to the public or close a portion of the meeting to the public upon a majority vote of a quorum present taken at a meeting open to the public for which notice has been given in accordance with § 30.04. The vote of each member on the question of holding a meeting closed to the public and a citation to the specific exception contained in § 30.05 shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the meeting. At any open meeting of the City Council for which proper notice has been given the City Council may, without additional notice, hold a closed session in accordance with §§ 30.04 and 30.05. The Council shall, in the motion to adjourn to a closed session, identify the permitted purpose for a closed session. If additional lawfully permitted items are discussed in the closed session that were not identified in the motion, then the Mayor shall publicly announce those additional purposes in the open meeting prior to adjournment.
