For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
GAS MAIN. That portion of the gas distribution system which distributes gas from the main supply source to the city and all areas within.
GAS SERVICE. That portion of the gas distribution system which connects from the gas main to any house, building or property to be served.
OWNER. The owner of record of the house, building or property to be served.
PUBLIC. Available to the general public whether provided by a public or private agency or corporation.
