§ 35.32 APPOINTMENTS.
    All appointments and promotions of full-time police officers within the Police Department of the city, except that of the Chief of Police, shall be made by the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners, as provided by statute. The appointment, discipline and discharge of part-time police officers within the Police Department of the city shall be by the Chief of Police.
