59-C-5.471. Purpose. The primary purpose of the Life Sciences Center (LSC) Zone is to promote research, academic, and clinical facilities that advance the life sciences, health care services, and applied technologies. It is also the purpose of the LSC Zone to provide opportunities for the development of uses that support a Life Sciences Center while retaining an environment conducive to high technology research, development, and production.
59-C-5.472. Where applicable. No land may be classified in the LSC zone, unless the land is within an area for which there is an approved and adopted master or sector plan that recommends Life Sciences Center development for the land that is subject to the application of the zone. Development under the LSC zone must be consistent with the recommendations of the applicable master or sector plan.
