§ 75.50 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purposes of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates a different meaning.
   CARRIAGE. Any device designed to be drawn by a horse, in, upon or by which any person may be transported or drawn upon a public way.
   COMPENSATION. Any fare, reward, tip, donation or other thing of value which a driver or owner of a horse-drawn carriage accepts or receives, or offers to accept or receive, in return for furnishing such service.
   HORSE. An animal of genus equis.
   LICENSEE. Any person to whom the city has issued a license pursuant to this subchapter.
   OWNER OF A HORSE-DRAWN CARRIAGE. The person who has good title thereto or lawful bill of sale, or certificates of title, who conducts or operates or rents such public carriage.
   PERSON. Shall include person, firm, partnership, association and corporation.
   VETERINARIAN. A practicing veterinarian licensed by the state.
