The zoning districts are so designed as to assist in carrying out the intents and purposes of the comprehensive plan and are based upon the comprehensive plan which has the purpose of protecting the public health, safety, convenience and general welfare. For the purpose of this title, the city is hereby divided into the following zoning districts:

R-2 | Multi-family residential (medium density) |
R-3 | Multi-family residential (high density) |
B-1 | Business district |
B-2 | Highway business district |
MB | Medical business district |
I-1 | Light industry district |
I-2 | Heavy industry district |
CD | Conservancy district |
RO | River overlay district |
