A. Water rates for the supply of water to consumers shall be set as follows:
1. Rates for water usage shall be set by resolution of the city council.
2. There shall also be a charge, set by resolution of the council, for connecting or disconnecting or reconnecting a service whether the same be voluntary or for the purpose of enforcing collection of a utility charge, said additional charge shall become due and payable when a representative of the city calls at the premises for the purpose of shutting off such water because of a delinquency in making payment.
3. An additional twenty five percent (25%) of the basic water rate shall be charged to consumers outside of the city limits, unless negotiated as part of an agreement with another governmental unit. (Ord. 882, 10-20-2008)
