The following streets and avenues are designated as a school zone for purposes of Minnesota statutes chapter 169:
Hamilton Avenue between 4th Street and 6th Street.
Ost Avenue between 4th Street and 6th Street.
Park Avenue between 13th Street and 17th Street.
William Avenue between 13th Street and 21st Street, except that portion not adjacent to school property.
4th Street between Hamilton Avenue and Ost Avenue.
6th Street between Hamilton Avenue and Ost Avenue.
13th Street between Nichols Avenue and William Avenue.
17th Street between Buckeye Drive and William Avenue.
21st Street between William Avenue and Park Avenue.
The city council, by resolution, shall designate the speed limit in a school zone. The speed limit so designated shall be in effect when children are present, going to or leaving school during opening or closing hours, or during school recess. The school speed limit shall be effective upon the erection of appropriate signs designating the speed and indicating the beginning and end of the reduced speed zone. (Ord. 894, 10-19-2009)
