For the purposes of this title, the following terms shall have the meanings herein ascribed to them:
AVENUE: Any public street, avenue, lane, court, circle, drive or other public thoroughfare, except alleys, maintained by the city of Montevideo that runs generally east and west or has an east/west entrance.
STREET: Any public street, avenue, lane, court, circle, drive or other public thoroughfare, except alleys, maintained by the city of Montevideo that runs generally north and south or has a north/south entrance. (Ord. 846, 4-5-2004)
