§ 35.58 PENALTY.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person having or obtaining access to a public record to alter the content of the public record from its original state.
   (B)   Any person violating this subchapter shall be subject to a fine not exceeding $2,500 for each offense. A complaint for violation seeking the imposition of a fine may be filed with any court of competent jurisdiction.
