(a) New Streets. New streets shall be paved to a minimum width as specified in Section 1123.01(d) provided that in the case of an arterial or major street, the requirements may be modified as follows:
(1) The subdivider shall not be required to pave any such arterial street to a width of more than twenty-four feet each side of centerline or the equivalent in the case of a divided pavement; or
(2) The subdivider may enter into a contract with the Municipality to pay into the Municipal treasury an amount equal to the cost of payment as required by subsection (1) hereof. Such amount shall then be used by the Municipality in construction of the arterial street; or
(3) If all lots are to back on such arterial street, the requirements for paving shall not apply.
(b) Existing Streets. When land is being subdivided along an existing street, the Municipality may require that the pavement be widened. Such widening need not exceed eighteen feet each side of the centerline.
(c) Grades and Curves. Grades and curves shall not exceed the requirements specified in Section 1123.01(d).
(d) Materials and Specifications. Design and construction of streets, pavements, curb and gutter as required by this section shall be in conformity with current specifications on file in the office of the Clerk-Treasurer.
