553.05 RAILROAD CROSSINGS.
   (a)   No operator of a railroad or other entity that operates any moveable car, device, engine or other object on railroad tracks within the municipal limits of the Village shall cross or attempt to cross any street, road, alley or highway within the Village without providing a visual warning sufficiently in advance of utilizing the crossing. The visual warning may be by gates, lighted crossbucks, flag person or other mechanical device which provides adequate warning to persons in proximity to the crossing.
   (b)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor as follows:
      First offense: Misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
      Second offense and thereafter: Misdemeanor of the first degree.
