The Village shall have the right to cause the removal of any trees on private property within the Village when such trees constitute a hazard to life and property.
(a) Notice to Remove. Should any person or persons fail to remove trees as provided for in this section, the Shade Tree Commission shall notify the Village Administrator in writing who shall order said person or persons within five days after receipt of written notice, to remove such trees.
(b) Order Required. The order herein shall be served by certified mail to the last known address of the property owner as on file with the Huron County Auditor.
(c) Failure to Comply. When a person to whom an order is issued fails to comply within the specified time, it shall be lawful for the Village to remove, or cause such trees to be removed and assess the property owner for the cost of the services rendered.
