Should any member of any board or commission of the Village be absent from as many as three (3) regular meetings in a calendar year, whether or not such absences are consecutive, he or she shall forfeit his or her seat on the board or commission unless such absence is authorized and excused by a majority of the members appointed to such board or commission.
