(a) The Shade Tree Commission for the Village of Monroeville shall consist of five (5) members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the majority of Council, all of whom will be residents of the Village but not a member of any other Board or Commission of the Village. The terms of office shall be five years except for the terms of the first Commission of which one member's term will expire December 31 2005, one member's term will expire on December 31, 2006 and one member's term will expire on December 31, 2007. Membership can be automatically renewed at the end of each term unless the member submits notification of resignation.
(b) In addition to the appointed members of the Commission, one member of Council, who shall be appointed by Council, shall meet with the Commission but shall not have the right to vote.
(c) Members of the Commission shall serve without remuneration, other than the regular salary, if any, provided for the Village officials and employees who are ex-officio members. (Ord. 2020-01. Passed 4-14-20.)
