§ 53.51 BACKFLOW PROTECTIVE DEVICES.
   All new or repaired water services shall have installed a backflow protective device designed to protect the public water system from cross-connection to the degree of the health hazard. The degree of health hazard for a given water service shall be determined by the Director of Water Resources. The type of backflow protective device used shall be appropriate for the degree of hazard and shall be installed as part of the service connection or the building water plumbing as defined in the city's Standards for Water System Construction.
