§ 30.01 POWERS AND DUTIES OF CITY COUNCIL.

   The duties and powers of the City Council shall be as set out in the Charter of the city and in the applicable state statutes.

§ 30.02 MAYOR TO BE THE EXECUTIVE HEAD; DUTIES.

   Subject to the provisions of the Charter, the Mayor shall be chief executive officer of the city and as such, shall familiarize himself particularly with all matters concerning the administration of the city's business and shall keep himself fully informed with respect thereto.

§ 30.03 COMPLIANCE WITH FRANCHISES AND CONTRACTS.

   The Mayor shall use his best efforts to see that the terms of all franchises and contracts made, granted and entered into by the city are complied with.

§ 30.04 SELECTION AND DUTIES OF MAYOR PRO TEMPORE.

   At the first meeting after their election the City Council shall select one of the councilmen to act as Mayor Pro Tempore during his term of office. The Mayor Pro Tempore shall, in case of sickness or absence of the Mayor, perform all the duties of the mayor and he shall be compensated for his services as prescribed by the City Council.

§ 30.05 ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION.

   The administrative organization of the city government is set out in a chart on file in the office of City Clerk.
