7-5-14: DELINQUENT SEWER BILLS; DISCONNECTION:
   (A)   In the event that any user of the city sewer service suffers or permits the charges rendered by the city to such user for sewer services to remain unpaid for a period of more than six (6) months, the city shall take all necessary steps to disconnect said service. Prior to said sewer service being disconnected, the city shall give said user thirty (30) days' notice to bring all unpaid charges current. Said notice shall be by registered mail or, if said occupant is no longer at the premises or refuses the delivery of registered mail, by posting a notice of intended disconnection at said place of proposed disconnection. Upon the expiration of the thirty (30) day period, the city shall then take such steps to disconnect the delinquent user from the sewer system. (Ord. 334, 11-17-1986)
   (B)   In the event that after said disconnection the present user or any subsequent owner or occupant of said disconnected account desires to connect to the sewer system, such connection shall be made by the city upon payment of the total amount of unpaid sewer charges and a five hundred dollar ($500.00) city reconnection fee.
