7-5-3: APPLICATION FOR SERVICE; DEPOSIT:
Upon the application of the owner or any authorized agent or tenant of the owner, premises will be furnished through the connections already made, and upon compliance with the rates, rules and regulations of the city, and after approval of the application by the city endorsed thereon.
The application shall state the name of the owner of the premises, the character and extent of the service desired, the description of the premises, including the name of the street and house number, if any, and such other information as may be reasonably required by the city.
At the time of making application for service, applicant must make payment to the city of the sum of twenty five dollars ($25.00), the same to be held by the city during the time said service is furnished to the applicant as a security deposit guaranteeing payment of bills submitted by the city for such service from time to time. Upon termination of service the said security deposit shall be returned to applicant.
A new application must be made and approved by the city upon any change in ownership in property, or in tenancy, as described in the application, and the city shall have the right to discontinue the water and sewer service until such new application is made and approved. (Ord. 145, 12-20-1971)
