The scavenger or garbage collector is responsible for cleaning up only that garbage and rubbish which is scattered in the process of conveying the material to his truck. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to clean up any garbage which is strewn about by wind, the ravages of animals such as dogs, or by similar means. In the event that compliance is not met within seventy two (72) hours of an issued citation, each day thereafter shall constitute a separate offense. (Ord. 256, 6-2-1980; amd. Ord. 848, 8-19-2019)
