No privy, vault or cesspool for sewerage shall be permitted in any part of the city when a sewer is provided, and no connection shall be made with any sewer without proper precaution against sewer gas and no vault, cesspool or closet shall be established within thirty five feet (35') of any well, spring or other source of water for drinking or culinary purposes without the written permission of the health officer. All sewers or drains within thirty five feet (35') of any well shall be watertight. (Ord. 220, 6-5-1978)
