5-2-26: CERTAIN ANIMALS PROHIBITED IN CITY:
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to permit to be at large within the city or to use, or keep within the city any of the following animals: bees, pigeons, horses, cattle, sheep, ponies, goats, mules, pigs, swine, hogs, ducks, roosters, chickens, geese, minks, foxes, or any other livestock or poultry or any wild or vicious animal dangerous to mankind, except the temporary keeping of animals within the city when being used for parade purposes and other civic functions. A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
   (B)   Any animal named above, found at large within the city, shall be impounded if possible; however, whenever any police officer believes such animal endangers any person, such animal may be killed by said officer.
   (C)   In addition to any other penalties imposed upon any person violating this section, such person shall also be liable for the costs of impounding or killing such animal, if necessary. (Ord. 725, 9-19-2011)
