5-2-16: RABIES INFECTED ANIMALS:
The owner of any animal which exhibits clinical signs of rabies, whether or not the animal has been inoculated against rabies, shall immediately notify the police department and shall promptly confine the animal, or have it confined under suitable observation, for a period of at least fourteen (14) days. Any animal that has had direct contact with the animal and that has not been inoculated against rabies, shall be confined, as recommended by a licensed veterinarian. (Ord. 725, 9-19-2011)
