5-1-10: UNDERAGE INDIVIDUALS, UNLAWFUL CONSUMPTION ON PRIVATE PREMISES:
   (A)   Definitions:
    LEGAL GUARDIAN: The person appointed guardian or given custody of a minor by a Circuit Court of the State but does not include a person appointed guardian or given custody of a minor under the "Juvenile Court Act of the State of Illinois" as now in effect.
   MINOR: A person who is above the age of eleven (11) but not yet nineteen (19) years of age.
   UNDERAGE INDIVIDUAL: A person who has not yet attained the age of twenty one (21) and includes all minors.
   (B)   Deliver Or Permit Consumption Of Alcoholic Beverages: It shall be unlawful for any parent, legal guardian, owner or occupant to deliver or give alcoholic beverages to any underage individual upon or in the residential premises of said parent, legal guardian, owner or occupant or for said parent, legal guardian, owner or occupant to knowingly suffer or permit the consumption of alcoholic beverages by underage individuals upon or in the residential premises of said parent, legal guardian, owner or occupant.
   (C)   Damage Resulting From Intoxication: In the event that any underage individual causes damage to any other person or property as a direct and proximate result of intoxication resulting from the consumption of alcoholic beverages at the residence of any person, then said person so permitting or suffering the unlicensed consumption of alcoholic beverages by said underage individual shall be considered to be in violation of this section.
   (D)   Penalty: Any person convicted of any violation of the provisions of this section shall be fined not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) but no more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each offense. (Ord. 689, 7-5-2010)
