5-1-8: RESISTING OR OBSTRUCTING POLICE OFFICERS:
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly resist or obstruct the performance of one known to the person to be a peace officer of any authorized act performed by such individual within his official capacity.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful for any person upon command to refuse or knowingly fail to reasonably aid a person known by him to be a peace officer in the apprehension of a person whom the officer is authorized to apprehend so long as such person so commanded is not placed in a position to receive serious physical injury in the aiding of such police officer.
