It shall be the duty of the mayor at the first regular meeting of the council in May in each year, or as soon thereafter as may be, to appoint the standing committees of the city council which shall be as follows:
First | Administration and finance, one member each ward |
Second | Streets and alleys, one member each ward |
Third | Police, one member each ward |
Fourth | Local improvements and buildings, one member each ward |
Fifth | Election and ordinance, one member each ward |
Sixth | Water and sewer, one member each ward |
