3-4-1: LICENSE REQUIRED:
No person shall set up, keep or cause to be kept by his agent or servant any shooting gallery, billiard, bagatelle, video game, pool or other kind of table or place whatsoever on or at which games of skill or of chance are played, and for the use of which, or privilege of playing thereon or thereat, any money or its equivalent shall be required, paid or received without first obtaining a license therefor in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. This chapter shall not be construed to prohibit, restrict, regulate or otherwise license the operation of video gaming terminals in the manner described and permitted by the video gaming act, 230 Illinois Compiled Statutes 40/1 et seq., as amended, it being the intent of the city for such video game terminals to be outside the scope of this chapter.
