No license of any class may be issued by the Commissioner unless the City Council has first adopted an ordinance creating a license of the class to be issued. The number of licenses in each class shall be as set forth below. The number of licenses of any class may be increased or decreased at any time by the City Council by ordinance.

Nothing herein shall prevent any establishment from obtaining multiple licenses of different classes for the purpose of combining the methods and means by which alcoholic beverages are sold.
The total number of businesses, whether they be sole proprietorship, partnership or corporation, which are entitled to receive licenses issued within the City, shall not exceed sixteen (16) in number. (Ord. 800, 10-5-2015; amd. Ord. 872, 3-7-2022)
