8-1-14: HOURS OF CONSTRUCTION:
   A. It shall be unlawful to engage in or conduct any activity in the construction of any building or structure, or the laying of any pavement, including, but not limited to, the making of an excavation, clearing of surface land, and loading or unloading material, equipment or supplies, anywhere in the village except between the hours of seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. and seven thirty o'clock (7:30) P.M., or sundown, as determined by the national weather service and published in a newspaper of general circulation within the community, whichever comes later, on weekdays other than Saturday, and except between the hours of seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. and five thirty o'clock (5:30) P.M. on Saturday.
   B. It shall be unlawful to engage in any such work or activity on a Sunday unless specifically authorized by the village. No such special authorization shall be given except where the public welfare will be enhanced by such work, or will be harmed by the failure to perform such work. Nothing in this section shall be construed to prevent any work necessary to prevent injury to persons or property at the time.
   C. Nothing herein contained shall prohibit the owner or occupant of a single-family residence, or the owner of a single-family residence under construction for the owner's occupancy, from performing work on the principal structure or any permitted accessory structure between the hours of seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. and seven thirty o'clock (7:30) P.M. or "sundown" as described above, whichever comes later, on any day of the week.
