6-8-6: PARKING RESTRICTIONS:
   A.   No Parking Places: It is unlawful to park any motor vehicle in the following areas 1 :

   B.   Time Limit Parking: Parking of any motor vehicle shall be restricted to no more than two (2) continuous hours between seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. and four o'clock (4:00) P.M. on Monday through Friday on the south side of McGovney Street from Wolf Road on the west to one hundred feet (100') east of Mokena Street on the east and on the north side of McGovney Street from its intersection with Hacker Street to one hundred feet (100') east of Mokena Street.    C.   Handicapped Parking:
      1. It shall be prohibited to park any motor vehicle which is not bearing registration plates or decals issued to a handicapped person, as defined by 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/1-159.1, pursuant to 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/11-1301.1 or 5/11-1301.2, or to a disabled veteran pursuant to 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/3-609, as evidence that the vehicle is operated by or for a handicapped person or disabled veteran, in any parking place, including any private or public off street parking facility specifically reserved, by the posting of an official sign as designated by 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/11-301.1, for motor vehicles bearing such registration plates. Any motor vehicle bearing a handicapped license plate or a handicapped parking decal or device containing the international symbol of access issued to handicapped persons by any local authority, state, district, territory or foreign country shall be recognized as a valid license plate or device and receive the handicapped parking privileges.
      2. Any person owning or operating any public or private off street parking facility may, after notifying the Mokena police department, remove or cause to be removed to the nearest garage or other place of safety any vehicle parked within a stall or space reserved for use by the handicapped which does not display handicapped registration plates or a special decal or device as required by this section.
      3. Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be fined one hundred dollars ($100.00) in addition to any costs or charges connected with the removal or storage of any motor vehicle. (Ord. 1543, 10-13-1997)
   D.   Parallel Or Angle Parking:
      1. There shall be parallel parking only on the south side of 195th Street between 114th Avenue and 115th Avenue. (Ord. 817, 10-9-1978)
      2. Head-in parking only shall be allowed on the north side of the municipal parking lot bordering Front Street between Wolf Road and Mokena Street. (Ord. 881, 10-27-1980)
