§ 96.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   BUILDING or STRUCTURE. Any improvement constructed on property the loss of which due to fire is covered by fire insurance secured for the property by any insured.
   CLERK-TREASURER. The officer designated in the village to receive a portion of the insurance proceeds payable to any insured for fire loss of a building or structure.
   FIRE LOSS. A loss to buildings or structures where the amount recoverable under all applicable fire insurance policies exceeds $5,000 and the loss agreed to by the named insured(s) and the insurance company or companies equals or exceeds 60% of the aggregate limits of liability on all fire policies covering the buildings or structures.
   INSURANCE COMPANY or INSURER. A company doing business in Ohio that provides fire insurance including the Ohio Fair Plan Underwriting Association as established in R.C. § 3929.43.
   INSURED. Any owner or beneficiary named in a fire insurance policy covering buildings or structures damaged by fire.
   PROOF OF REPAIR, REMOVAL, or SECURING. A written statement from a contractor that such work has been completed and the fire damage restored and verification by the Zoning Inspector.
