The Village Council shall initially act upon the application for a permit within 45 days after the filing thereof by inviting the applicant to appear before it to answer questions and present its application, if necessary. If for any reason a longer period of time is required, the reason for such a delay shall be provided in writing to the applicant. If the village disapproves the application, the village will make a reasonable effort to notify the applicant, by email, a copy of the notice of rejection and the reason therefor, within 48 hours of the rejection.
