The Mayor shall have been a resident and an elector of the Municipality for at least two (2) years immediately prior to the date of his/her election and shall continue to be a resident and an elector therein throughout his/her term of office. Regardless of the minimum voting age, the Mayor shall have attained twenty-one (21) years of age prior to his/her election. Except as provided in this Charter, he/she shall not hold any other elective office, public office or any other employment with any other local, state, or federal government body. However, nothing contained in this Section shall prohibit the Mayor from serving as a volunteer for any political subdivision and he/she receives no compensation for the same. Except as to salary or reimbursement of expenses received as Mayor or other role within the Municipality, he/she shall not, directly or indirectly, solicit, contract for, receive or be interested in any profits, fee or salary, from or on account of any contract, j ob, work or service with or for the Municipality.
