The skateboard, roller skates or in-line skates of any person violating the provisions of this chapter may be impounded by the Police Chief for not less than five days for a first offense, 10 days for a second offense, and 30 days for each additional offense thereafter. As used in this section, “impound” means that the Police Chief or any officer of the police department shall seize the skateboard, roller skates or in-line skates and hold the same in legal custody for the term required for a violation of this chapter.
