8-2-5: TREES AND SHRUBS AT INTERSECTIONS:
No person shall plant, maintain or permit to grow any tree, hedge, bush or shrubbery of any kind which has a mature growing height of greater than twenty four inches (24") within the triangle formed by the adjacent side lines of two (2) intersecting streets and the line joining points distant thirty five feet (35') on each side line from their point of intersection. Any tree, hedge, bush or shrubbery planted or growing within the above defined triangle exceeding twenty four inches (24") in height is declared a public nuisance and hazard to public safety and shall be subject to summary abatement by the City by removal.
For the purpose of this section, "side line of street" shall mean the curb line on those streets where curb is installed, and where curb is not installed, "side line of street" shall mean that line which otherwise would be the curb line of a standard City street if such curb was installed and centered within the right-of-way.
