(A) The governing body may, by resolution, set aside any street, alley, public way or portion thereof where the parking of a particular kind or class of vehicle shall be prohibited, or where the parking of any vehicle shall be prohibited. No vehicle prohibited from parking thereon shall stand or be parked adjacent to the curb of said street, alley, public way or portion thereof, longer than any period of time necessary to load and unload freight or passengers.
(B) No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with law or the direction of any officer or traffic-control signal or device in any of the following places:
(1) On a sidewalk;
(2) In front of a public or private driveway;
(3) Within an intersection;
(4) On a crosswalk;
(5) Within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection;
(6) Within 30 feet upon the approach to any flashing beacon, stop sign or traffic-control device or signal located at the side of a roadway;
(7) Within 50 feet of the nearest rail of a railroad crossing;
(8) Within 15 feet of the driveway entrance to any fire station;
(9) Tractor trailer rigs or semi-tractors in a residential area except for active loading and unloading of freight; or
(10) Within 20 feet of any intersection whether on the public right-of-way or on private property.
