158.08 UNSAFE SIGNS.
If the administrative authority shall find that any sign is unsafe, insecure, or a menace to the public, the administrative authority shall give written notice by certified mail to the owner, agent, or person having the beneficial interest of the building or premises (if known) on which such sign is located. Correction of the condition which caused the administrative authority to give such notice shall be effected within ten (10) calendar days after receipt of such notice. Notwithstanding the foregoing provision, the administrative authority is authorized to cause any sign to be removed summarily and without notice, at the expense of the owner, agent, or person having the beneficial interest of the building or premises on which such sign is located, whenever the administrative authority determines that such sign is an immediate peril to persons and/or property.
