§ 50.17 CREDIT REQUIREMENTS OF CONSUMER.
   (A)   The village shall have the right at any time to require a consumer to make a reasonable deposit to secure payment of its bills for utility services, conformably within the laws of the State of Ohio.
   (B)   Any consumer applying for village utility service shall provide the following deposit:
 
(1)
Residential utility service
$300
(2)
Commercial/Industrial utility service
$500
 
   (C)   Any consumer applying for village utility services who owns property within the village and has established credit with the village will not be required to provide a deposit.
   (D)   Any consumer who owns a property and has resided in or operated a business out of that property for more than five years and has established satisfactory credit with the village shall be eligible to have their deposit returned after five years.
