It shall be unlawful for any person in any street, alley or other public place within the village to ride any bicycle at a greater rate of speed than ten (10) miles per hour; or to wilfully or heedlessly ride any bicycle so that the same shall strike against any person or against any other vehicle; or to ride any bicycle without having a suitable bicycle bell or whistle attached thereto so as to be readily sounded for the purpose of warning persons of his approach; or to wilfully or heedlessly fail to reasonably sound such bell or whistle to warn any pedestrian whom he shall meet or pass; or to ride any bicycle one hour after sunset and until one hour before sunrise without having securely attached thereto a lighted lamp, the rays of which can be distinctly seen ahead of such bicycle; or in any manner to ride or propel any bicycle along and upon any sidewalk. Bicycles shall be prohibited from being ridden or parked on the sidewalk on the north side of Mondamin Street beginning seventy five feet (75') east of the east line of Wabena Street through the east line of Osceola Street. (1977 Code; amd. Ord. 1990-13, 10-11-1990)
