9-1-12: STOP STREETS:
The streets and parts of streets of the village designated as stop streets are hereby declared to be stop streets. The driver of a vehicle shall stop at an intersection with a stop street, and shall cautiously proceed, yielding to the vehicles not so obliged to stop, which are with the intersection or approaching so close as to constitute a hazard, unless traffic at such intersection is controlled by a police officer on duty, in which event the directions of the police officer shall be complied with.
