8-1-2: SPECIAL POLICE OFFICERS:
The board of trustees may, from time to time, appoint as many police officers and special police officers as they may deem necessary, who shall hold their offices during the pleasure of the village board, but not to exceed the municipal year in which they are appointed. (1904 Code § 6.12; amd. 1977 Code)
