4-6-8: SAFETY REGULATIONS:
   A.   All public pools and private inground swimming pools with a diving board, must be constructed to BOCA specifications.
   B.   All metal fence, enclosures or railings near or adjacent to swimming pools, which might become electrically alive as a result of contact with broken overhead conductors or from any other cause, shall be effectively grounded.
   C.   During the construction of an inground pool a four foot (4') temporary fence must be installed in sufficient strength to prevent access to the construction area.
   D.   An approved cover shall be installed during the months when the pool is not in use.
   E.   An anti-siphon device "hose bib vacuum breaker" must be provided on the faucet supplying water for the pool.
   F.   Every swimming pool shall be equipped with one or more throwing ring buoys not more than fifteen inches (15") in diameter and having a three-sixteenths inch (3/16") line at a length of no less than three feet (3') greater than the longest dimension of the pool, and one or more light, but strong, poles with blunted ends being not less than twelve feet (12') in length, for making reach assists or rescues.
   G.   All swimming pools must have gates and ladders locked when not in use. (Ord. 2000-42, 9-12-2000)
