A. All outdoor inground swimming pools shall be completely enclosed by a fence or the yard in which the pool is located, shall be completely enclosed by a fence with a minimum height from the established grade of six feet (6'). All fence openings or points of entry into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing gates. All gates shall be self-latching with the latches placed at least four feet (4') above the ground. Fences shall be constructed so as to prohibit the passage of a sphere larger than four inches (4") in diameter through any opening or under the fence.
B. Aboveground four foot (4') pools must have a manually activated entrance ladder that can be locked in the upright position and a self-contained fence with a minimum overall height of six feet (6').
C. Aboveground two (2) and three feet (3') pools shall be completely enclosed by a fence or the yard in which the pool is located, shall be completely enclosed by a fence with a minimum height from the established grade of four feet (4'). All fence openings or points of entry into the pool area shall be equipped with a self-closing gate. All gates shall be constructed so as to prohibit the passage of a sphere larger than four inches (4") in diameter through any opening or under the fence. (Ord. 2000-42, 9-12-2000)
