A. Tap-on fees:
1. Water (Commercial and Industrial):
a. One thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500) per PE up to 3.5 PE; and
b. Four hundred and fifty dollars ($450) per PE over 3.5 PE.
2. Wastewater (Commercial and Industrial):
a. Three thousand and five hundred dollars ($3,500) per PE up to 3.5 PE; and
b. Seven hundred dollars ($700) per PE over 3.5 PE.
B. Surcharge Rate: In the event use of the wastewater facilities by nonresidential users is determined by the village to include wastes in addition to average strength domestic waste, the user shall pay a surcharge cost in addition to the basic user charge and the basic user rate.
The surcharge rate for excess strengths are as follows:
Biochemical Oxygen Demand = $0.66/lb BOD (if COD/BOD>2.25)
Biochemical Oxygen Demand = $1.98/lb BOD (if COD/BOD<2.25)
Suspended solids = $0.64/lb suspended solids
*All rates to increase annually beginning on 5/1 by 3% unless otherwise identified by the Village Board
Computation Of Wastewater Service Charge: The daily BOD5 loading subject to surcharge shall be established by the following calculation (negative values shall not be included in the calculation):
BOD5 loading subject to surcharge = ( (Gallons Discharged x (BOD5 Concentration mg/L - 200 mg/L) x 8.345 x 10-6) pounds) X Rate = Surcharge
The daily TSS loading subject to surcharge shall be established by the following calculation (negative values shall not be included in the calculation):
TSS loading subject to surcharge = ((Gallons Discharged x (TSS Concentration mg/L - 250 mg/L) x 8.345 x 10-6) pounds) X Rate = Surcharge (Ord. 2020-33, 11-24-2020)
