8-15-3: ESTABLISHMENT OF WELLHEAD ZONES:

This chapter shall establish the following wellhead zones:

   A.   "Wellhead protection zone IA", defined as a minimum fixed radius extending no less than one hundred feet (100') radius from the wellhead supplying potable water to the public water supplies; and

   B.   "Wellhead protection zone IB", defined as a three (3) year time of travel district (TOT) as defined herein, which is the time required for groundwater to move in the ground from a specific point to a well; and

   C.   "Wellhead protection zone II", defined as six (6) year time of travel district (TOT); and

   D.   "Wellhead protection zone III", defined as a ten (10) year time of travel district (TOT). (Ord. 2016-09-13-J, 9-13-2016)
