The board of county commissioners hereby recognizes and acknowledges that the said county/city comprehensive plan was formulated and adopted in conjunction with the city of Rupert, for application in Minidoka County, and the cities of Rupert, Acequia, and Minidoka, and that there are distinct and differing comprehensive plans adopted and applied by the cities of Heyburn, Paul, and North Burley. In recognition of those separate comprehensive plans, and the acknowledgment by the board of county commissioners of Minidoka County, that those municipalities have a vested interest in orderly development within the areas of impact of the respective municipalities, it is the intent of the board of county commissioners that, to the extent that the county/city comprehensive plan of May 2001, adopted herein, is inconsistent with the comprehensive plan of the city of Heyburn, city of Paul, and city of Burley, it is the intent of the board of county commissioners of Minidoka County to allow the comprehensive plan of those respective cities to take precedence over the county/city comprehensive plan adopted herein in the respective areas of impact. To the extent that they are consistent, the county/city comprehensive plan of May 2001, shall apply in the county and areas of impact. (Ord. 01-02, 5-14-2001)
